Saffron Security was established in January 1993 by Andy Murrell. Andy has a wealth of experience in the security industry, starting with his apprenticeship with Chubb in the mid 70's. He has seen the industry in its infancy right through until the present day. Saffron Security still remains a family run business.
Paul Murrell joined the business in 1998. Starting in a trainee position and working his way through to become one of the Directors.
Rob Murrell has worked with the company for over fifteen years and is our senior installation engineer, he can install our systems to a very high standard, this holds our position and reputation as the go to company for quality installation and customer care. For this reason we are held in high regard by our inspectorate SSAIB.
Greg Bull is our senior maintenance engineer, there aren’t many systems that Greg hasn’t seen and maintained. You are most likely to see Greg on a regular basis as our main maintenance engineer. Greg’s calm manner and extensive knowledge of equipment is another string to our bow.

Debs - Accounting queries and office manager (Part time Tuesdays and Wednesday)
Rebecca and Laura - Support and office administration.
With our office based in Saffron Walden, this means that we can effectively cover Essex, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Hertfordshire, although most of our work is well within an hour’s drive from Saffron Walden. This gives us the opportunity to respond quickly to call outs and provide excellent customer service.
We can offer new installations or potential maintenance of existing systems too. (subject to the standard of the existing system).
Saffron Security are also members of SSAIB who inspect our company on an annual basis to ensure that we adhere to the British and European standards within our industry.
We regularly achieve outstanding assessments.
